Brittany Neal MSW, LCSW

Brittany Neal’s journey in the world of care and support began in 2011, where she could be found chasing after toddlers and singing the ABCs during circle time. After several years of working in early childhood education, Brittany took her passion for helping others to the next level. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services from Upper Iowa University in 2014 and, after a short break, dove deeper into the world of mental health by completing her Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Mental Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019.

Throughout her studies, Brittany continued to work hands-on in her community, always finding new ways to support others. In 2013, she worked as a Community Support Manager at Community Living Connections, helping adults with developmental disabilities live independently. This experience opened her eyes to the power of sensory integration and the importance of non-verbal communication. In 2015, she transitioned to working with elders and adults with disabilities in public housing as a Service Coordinator at the Community Development Authority. Brittany used her therapeutic skills to connect deeply with individuals and families, building trust and understanding along the way.

In 2019, Brittany took on a full-time role as a Psychotherapist at Anesis Therapy, where she worked with children, families, and adults from all walks of life. Her focus was on supporting those in non-traditional family settings and creating a safe space for healing. Brittany is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Infant Mental Health parent-child work, and she also loves integrating creative, expressive techniques to help individuals connect with their senses and express themselves in new ways.

Brittany is also currently pursuing a PhD in Infant Mental Health at Fielding Graduate University, where she is deepening her knowledge of child development and early emotional care. In addition to her therapy work, she is a qualitative research assistant at the University of Wisconsin, researching how African American mothers engage in reflective functioning within parent-child relationships, with a special focus on foster care.

Brittany believes that therapy can be a transformative and empowering experience, and she brings warmth, compassion, and a bit of fun to every session. She’s here to walk with you on your journey of healing and growth!
